finally! some uninterrupted connectivity with my blessed cable modem. thank You Lord, You bless my modem and cause it to be always connected.
today i beat an amber light. thank You Daddy, You defend me. what God has given me, no one can ever take away.
spent the whole day with dad. lunch was at mum's youngest sister's place. a delicious meal of mee siam, curry chicken and an assortment of fried food were served. after that, dad and i went to bug!s. i've been wanting to bring him to this particular steamboat buffet restaurant but haven't been able to. so anyway, the restaurant is near bug!s and we went there today.
arrived at bug!s at around half past three. kinda early for dinner, isn't it? plus, we were pretty full from lunch too! so we walked all around bug!s junction and the shops within. spied sketches from the corner of my eye and asked my dad if he'd like to eat there instead since he wouldn't be able to appreciate the steamboat buffet (small appetite. right. -_-)
he agreed. and here's my review: quantity = not so good. quality = pretty good.
wanted to bless my dad with the meal but he blessed me instead! bleah. over dinner, he told me how the property in austral!a was still waiting to be sold. how apt that during the CNY service, pastor shared on how he called forth the sale of the houses of several people around him.
i call the house PAID FOR in Jesus' name. Amen.

10:38 PM
it's been 4 days since my last entry. heh. been busy with CNY and all (and, not to forget, mapling!). no, it's not an addiction - just a pastime. heh. yes yes, that's what they all say. but i'm no more in bondage... Jesus redeemed me from
all forms of bondage!
i had a couple of flashbacks in the last 4 days. i remember this scenario where i was removing the screws that kept my harness on my helmet. i had such a difficult time removing them, even as i was using an array of screwdrivers and pliers! at that very moment, i was reminded by the Holy Spirit on how my dearest beloved Jesus had a crown of thorns pierced right into his head to redeem me from mental stress and sweat.
in this month alone, my Jesus treated me
twice to soft drinks. the first was when i was doing duty and i was using the computer in the mess. the vendor manning the vending machine came by to refill the machine and supernatural favour caused him to give me a can of root beer! and the second instance, the mess boy bought an extra coke and just gave it to me as i was in the mess using the same computer! both times, i'd just told my Daddy that i was thirsty! and there was the supply! as long as i am ready to receive, He is more than willing to give; exceedingly abundantly above all that i can ever ask for or imagine! in short and in pastor's words,
beyond my wildest dreams.
i think i just surpassed $500 in my red packet collection today. my Daddy causes me to have much more! because my Daddy is El-Shaddai, the God of
much more, the God of abundance. for the Lord is my shepherd, i shall
not be in want.
dinner today was at sheep mongolian restaurant (or some name along that line). it was a fantastic steamboat buffet. really gotta bring my dad here one day to eat! thank You Lord, this year of acceleration shall see my dad saved! watched
i not stupid too after that with dearie. it was great quality time. it was supposed to be a tear jerker but well, i didn't end up crying. there were many other patrons who looked like they just teared though. i guess they could identify with the reality that the film portrayed. it really reminded me of what pastor once said - that the world is seeking what
i have - the love that only God can give. human love can never satisfy - it is imperfect. only God's love can satisfy. and therein lay the message on CNY - the 4 things that God's love showed.
i'll blog about it when i get a hold on my notebook but here's what i vivdly recall: that His love brought me from the lowest and darkest place to the place where i am a prince, the child of God. His beloved.
oh yes, now i recall. one of the men, FT, came up to me and told me he witnessed a complete transformation of his friend after the latter attended christmas svc at my church. he asked me how this could happen and i shared the gospel with him. God is real and God loves him with an individual, passionate love that only
He can provide. at the end of it, i extended the invitation to attend hokkien service. he said he was quite wide-eyed about his friend's experience and we settled for one of pastor m*rk's sermons.
sow the seeds, and watch as God works. Daddy, i rest. You work. nothing beats watching you work the miracle of salvation. it brings such joy to my heart to see my friends get saved. love Ya Daddy! -hugs-

the end of evaluation stage 1 today. yes, i spent the whole day hibernating in bunk, indulging in worship and the word and of course, catching up on plenty of sleep. there's a poly worship event tomorrow and i'm so excited! really love worshipping my Daddy... giving thanks well and every word that comes forth from worship, Lord, You see that i mean it... i love You Daddy!
so anyway, got over to my aunt's place after work today with my dad. my uncle-in-law was around and a month ago, he promised to let me test drive his new toy if he managed to bid for it. and so i prayed for an abundance of favour and my Daddy
always answers! here's the new toy... -drool-

then i was blessed with $100 and a new wallet...
a year of acceleration. yesterday's LDW was really fantastic. pastor laid hands and i had visions of my dad's salvation so clearly. thank You Lord, in this year of acceleration, i'll see my family's salvation...
i love You Jesus. i love You Daddy. You never fail to bring a smile to my face.
i miss you...

it's been a long time since i last updated so here's some of what i really want to say in a flash.
leadership development workshop (LDW) yesterday was awesome. pastor opened up on leadership so much and there were so many things to catch, so much to know about the person of Jesus and His love for me that led Him to the Cross. even if i were the only person on earth, He would
still come down and die on the Cross for me. Lord, enhance my sphere of influence, let my life be a testimony to those around me and as the unmerited favour of God saturates my life beyond
all my wildest dreams, i
cannot help but be a walking success, a beacon of light in this world of darkness, and
whatsoever i touch shall prosper.
i'm totally not involved in the evaluation. thank You Lord for that. it gives me so much more time to do what i really want to do - to sit at Your feet and listen toYour word, be it being preached or listening to sermons.
there's so much i want to say! but i gotta go to camp now... so... soon!

11:55 PM
i finally get to sit down and update.
last week was ex st!ngr*y 3. it was exactly like Bn prof test except that the showers of blessings from Daddy wouldn't stop for the first 2 days when we were in conc. i led the first mission - a deliberate attack - in the absence of my understudy (who has since taken over 3 mths ago). well, he went to get married and so, really, congratulations there.
the assault mission had a 12km night tac march followed by the capturing of an objective, aptly named after the capital of the country i'm going to for the final exams of the Bn. the funniest part was the scouts brought us to Holland via the wrong route and wrong place. when it came to enemy intel, all that we gathered was
wrong. completely, exceedingly beyond my wildest dreams. so anyway, i was 'killed' and issued a casualty card within minutes of assaulting the objective. now, one of the basic principles is speed and with the higher command intent of capturing the objective by a certain timing, i had to press my troops as quickly as possible to overrun the objective. this led to the dismay of one of my specs as the trade off for speed was security - causing many more casualties than i should have.
the CM that continued (a hasty defence) never materialised. the defence area was booked by the army examination centre and they're naturally bigger than any combat/support unit. it was music to the ears of the men and i could just see them dancing and prancing around in great glee and joy.
i'm glad i spent time with my dad. i can see his need for love... the love that only my Abba Father can satisfy with. only Jesus can love my dad perfectly. it's the year of my dad's salvation. Daddy, into Your mighty hands i commit, my dad's salvation.
i love being in God's house and soaking in His presence and His word. i love worshipping in song and tongues to my Daddy God. i love it, most of all, that
He first love
d me. campus was awesome.
sunday service was really powerful.
due to st!ngr*y 3, i didn't get to attend bs. but hey, i shall not be shortchanged. must really get the sermon cd. i know i'll be tremendously blessed.
this shall be the year where i will have time for
everything. Jesus had time for
everything when He walked on earth. and as Christ is, so am i in the world! and in this year of acceleration, even more so shall i have time for
everything!
i asked my superior about my role in the final exams. he said he has none. holiday to the overseas destination, here i come! it's a good time to read more books and dive right into the Word and into my Daddy!
ok, it's been a super, super long entry. if you're still reading, praise Jesus for the patience multiplied in you. hahahaha...

The Picto-Personality Test

You are a person who is incredibly tranquil and values peace above all else.
When alone, you appreciate being able to do nothing if you want to, and setting your own pace for things.
You are romantic, and when you are with your partner you like to woo them with your imagination.
In the future you will be happy and live richly.

just a little something i 'copied' from brother edw*n's blog. whether it's true or not, well, use your discernment. hahahahahahahaha... a lot of stuff to blog about regarding the outfield exercise but i'll do it another day (probably tomorrow).
in any case, this is a year where i will have time for everything. why? because Jesus had time for everything and everyone. and as Christ is, so am i in the world! and in this year of great acceleration where my dad shall receive the good news of the gospel and be saved (i'm trusting in You and only You Lord... no one else but You! 'cos only You can do it!), i shall have time for everything that comes my way by Your grace Daddy!

1:56 AM
it has been a torrid week of the evil day. that's bad grammar, i know, but hey, my Bible doesn't lie - there is
an (singular) evil day and good day
s ahead of me.
it started off on monday with my dad's fainting incident at the medicare centre. he took a blood test on tuesday and the results have returned
yesterday. just to make it crazier, my great godma's (she's 94 this year!) platelet count was found to be low today morning by the visiting doc at the medicare centre. as a result, i sat in a private ambulance for the first time as one was called to bring her to s'pore GH.
anyway, my dad's blood test result was really a testimony. in the days between tuesday and friday, the Holy Spirit kept reminding me of several things. the first and foremost being, i am
the disciple whom Jesus love
d. and following that, i was reminded of how the disciples went out to heal the sick. it was really touching because they went out to heal the sick, even those who were guilty of unbelief and they were
ALL healed and i simply confessed that over my dad (in private, of course). next thing i knew, the results gave him a clean bill of health. there was apparently slightly high bad cholesterol but this was counteracted by even higher
good cholesterol! the only thing that was lacking was hep B antibodies and that was easily fixed with a jab that'll last 3-5 years. guided in
shalom peace. nothing missing, nothing broken. Amen! thank You Lord...
more of the evil things to come. my colleague called me in the middle of cg and asked me where i was. naturally, i told him where i was and he was in great disbelief. apparently my superior called for a meeting for all officers to return but i wasn't recalled. well, it must be supernatural - i really wanted to soak in the presence of God in cg. anyway, a lot of stuff were thrown at me to complete and i must say my colleague's tone wasn't exactly pleasant. but hey, walk in love, says my Daddy.
the first thing he ranted at me was one of my guys always not turning up for sat remedial trainings. the guy claimed to have a long term medical status and didn't turn up but i spoke to him just a few days back and told him even so he had to return. so anyway, he lost his hp a week ago and his house line has been cut too. that means he's uncontactable - what can i do? i'll do
exactly what pastor said - sleep on it. it demonstrates that i'm letting go and letting God take over! He gives to me
in my sleep!
the second was a combat shoot on monday where one of our guys would be attached to another unit. it's really terrible cos the following day is hari raya and the guy's muslim! give him a break already! i tried calling my superior but he didn't pick up. after 3 attempts, he apparently became uncontactable - probably switched off his hp. i think it's really inconsiderate to do so just because the unit wants to register good results for the BUC. i think respecting one's religion is more important. it's like asking a chinese to go for combat shoot on chinese new year's eve!
and so he went on and on and on and on blasting at me. but hey, walk in love kai. handle with grace. handle with love. as Christ loved me, let the love overflow! thank You Lord for patience, peace and love overflowing!
it's a year where i will have time for everything, just as Jesus had time for everything. for as Christ is, so am i in the world! pastor preached a message of the power of no condemnation on thursday bs. that was fantastic and mind-blowing. it got me thinking about the events of the week and why they happened. today's cg dwelt on the same topic but diversified into others as well. one of which, was the fact that this year is a year of glory. acceleration in what i ask for from my Daddy and a year where the glory of God
in me shall attract them to Christ Jesus!
shalom. lead me, Holy Spirit.

i spent new year's eve counting down...
at the coffeeshop opposite kev's place peeling crabs. every year it's so unique and exciting. hahahaha... how many times do you get to be at such a place at such a time? so there i was peeling chilli and black pepper crabs for dearie and wishing her and ys a blessed new year ahead. anyway, thanks to sisters nat and est*er for the wonderfully made
christmas gifts! really appreciate them!
went for 2nd on the following day. praise Jesus for supernatural strength to stay awake during the sermon. ed was like, concussed most of the way and cal*b and i had a good time thinking of ways to wake him up. hey bro, if you're reading this, thanks for providing the joy and laughter during that service! hahahaha...
the theme of the year is
being led by the Spirit in my daily walk, in the rhythm of grace.
God is my
ROCK in the year 2006!thank You Lord, for sending the Holy Spirit (read: Jesus unlimited) to dwell in me.i remember what pastor li*n once said - no test, no testimony. so it was, yesterday, after maple-ing at 10+ in the morning, i received a call that my dad fainted at the medicare centre nearby. in my mind, all i remembered was that with peace and joy in this year, He will guide me. the only doc open yesterday was at central and the medical analysis wasn't exactly soothing to the ears. everything, of course, was speculative as no real conclusion could be reached based on one such incident. today, dad went to his doc (which, incidently, happens to fall in the free medical care net in the uni i'm going to) to seek another opinion. the doc drew his blood for a blood test but said it was more likely to be a combination of lack of uninterrupted rest and stress.in the mighty name of JESUS CHRIST, i command every spirit of infirmity and evil to leave from my dad. DEPART NOW! for me and my family, no evil shall befall me, nor shall any plague come near my dwelling because of what Jesus Christ did for me on the Cross. surely, by His stripes, the healing was purchased. and now, dad, be made WHOLE in the name of Jesus and by His blood shed on the Cross. no sickness or disease shall befall you. Jesus Christ came to give life and life more abundantly. enjoy that abundant life flowing with rivers of living water now! Amen.i am
THE disciple whom Jesus love
d. and my Abba Father loves me so much He will make my dad whole.
maple. maple. maple!
