every new day i see more and more manifestations of God's love for me.

i received a call from the dean's office today. just.

i was offered a place in FA.

so favoured! it's just so amazing. there were 6 places in tuesday's FA class and well, one of them is now mine! thank You Daddy!

awesome. ecstatic. truly beyond words. undeserved favour!!!

i was so tired after attempting to re-solve the last of my AS questions and attending two classes today. i was about to go defend lala-land...

...until this monstrous fly literally buzzed into my room. it emitted such an echoing buzz and went by me in numerous sorties, threatening to shave the top of my head at times.

behold the electric fly swatter. an ordinary 3V battery-operated device shaped like a tennis racket.

the mutant fly continued its sorties as i began my epic battle with it.

i swung desperately at it at times (ok, that really looked stupid) but hey, it isn't easy trying to catch a monstrous fly going at mach 5.

but Jesus put all enemies under His footstool. and yes, fly included.

i hit it.

the first contact brought about an extremely loud pop sound. however, if you were expecting a bloody mess, no, that didn't happen. it just kept going. thank God it was at a much slower speed now.

the second contact killed it.

mission accomplished.

it's so amazing to personally hear from God.

at the end of last year, i remember blogging about God telling me that this year, 2006, would be a year where the theme was as Christ is, so am i in this world.

fast forward to today, 27 august 2006. pastor preached today on how the death of Jesus has become my death legally and accepted in God's eyes. and because of that, i can say that as Christ is, so am i in this world.

it has truly been a blessed 8 months gone by with the focus of sermons more often that not being as Christ is, so am i in this world.

what started out as me wondering whether i heard God correctly has proved to be Him.

it's just so amazing.

moving along.. on the way back just now from the cab i was prophesying under my breath that all the traffic lights would be green as soon as my taxi reached the junction before the traffic light. and as in the power of a king, as i said it to be, so it came to be.

...until the last traffic light just before the U-turn to my house. just before exiting the expressway, i continued to command the traffic light to turn green. a small cloud of unbelief crept into my heart and i recalled what royal priesthood really meant - as a king, all i had to do was to speak the word and it would come to pass; and as a priest, in times of controversy (like now), i was to speak the word and settle every controversy that arose.

i was amazed to see the traffic light turn green the moment the cab reached the traffic junction. thank You Daddy!!!

a life of thanksgiving, giving praise, honour, glory and worship to the Father, who sent His Beloved Son Jesus Christ to come down and die for me once and for all.

it's official.

a group of men got together and decided after much heated debate that pluto shouldn't be considered a planet due to its relatively small size.

the result: the EIGHT planets of the solar system. no longer NINE.

registration was very blessed today. 77 sign-ups for the meetings. it was smoother than we thought. thank You Daddy.

a 3-day week eventually becoming a 4-day week due to a half-credit module.

just returned from the victory dinner. yes, the $100 m*rche voucher that we fought and (literally) ran for during sports camp. it was really wonderful to meet up again. the attendance? 8 out of 10. not bad. the total bill came up to $169 and that meant we paid a little more than $9 each for our share of the food.

thank You Daddy for putting me in blk B. thank You Daddy for the wisdom to know what courses to bid for and how much to bid for each course. give me more wisdom Lord! and as this new chapter in my life unfolds, i am just going to rest in Your finished work and fight from victory! i want to see a greater revelation of Your great love for me, a double portion of Your anointing in my life and multiplication of Your undeserved, unmerited favour! thank YOU Daddy that whatsoever i touch, shall prosper! Amen!

convocation 2006! followed by an hr of soccer @ the cage. it's this indoor court with astroturf and nets as walls, thus creating the impression of a cage. the ball never leaves the court.

it was awesome. the jerseys were dutifully delivered and well received. must be Jesus! praise Him. heh. thank You Lord.

FTB camp marks the end of all the orientation and fun camps there are in school.

FTB camp was held in some secluded corner of eastern s'pore, opposite n s r c c. the 3-day 2-night camp was packed with activities but wasn't tiring. my group was particularly quiet on the first day but i guess that couldn't be helped with everyone being new. by night, we were all going hysterical and laughing like crazy. and i do mean, like crazy.

i mean, who can forget the pranks on the bus to fright night?

"ah ma sitting there, don't take her seat!" and the facis falling for it. heh.

and of course, jokes peppered the night and we didn't sleep much. well, some of us anyway, what with the conversation going downstairs, the mosquitoes and some... loud breathing.

there were unpleasant incidents too. but it was very much a refresher lesson on what i've gone thru in the army. to put it aptly, being tired is not a good excuse for being unprofessional. and this is where it ends. as pastor put it so well...

"you nurse, you rehearse, and you'll end up in a hearse!"

"you vomit, vomit and vomit! not enough, da bao (takeway) and eat, and vomit again!"

don't bring too much aggression into competition. everyone stands to lose. people don't take too kindly at the effects of aggression.

overall, it was fun. the food was really terrible (quantity and quality). the bathing facilities were perpetually flooded. but beyond that, the bonds that were forged (yes, with the tying of our faci as well) were an awesome takeaway.

thank You Daddy for the fantastic weather during the camp!

happy birthday s'pore!

it's the nation's 41st birthday and i guess after going thru my time in the army i should reflect on this day of celebration and remembrance.

what does national day really mean to me? all those outfields, exercises and training going to nought after 2 years? to some, it was being a slave to the nation. yes, i'd jokingly pass that comment too. but hey, deep down, i know that i will answer the call of the nation if i'm required to.

to quote from a little publication from the army (national education), i remember vividly this:

"everytime after an exercise, while on the 3-tonner back to camp, i would look at my surroundings. the peace in the neighbourhood after 3am. and marvel. this is what i was training for. this is what i must defend."

sounds patriotic, and perhaps a little cheesy. but yes, i believe that wholeheartedly. it may not have been the best of times serving the nation but i'm certainly glad i went thru it.

the peace that my nation enjoys. the independence that my nation enjoys. the sovereignty of my nation.

my church. my family. my friends.

this is home, truly, where i know i must be.

coach called and asked if i was interested in serving for men's and women's meetings as well as campus worship night! i JUMPED at the opportunity!

serving is a privilege! i can't wait to be involved in my Daddy's House!!!
