got to chat with the best DS (that's my opinion and probably the opinion of many others who have experienced his teaching) today. he's really such a fatherly figure. i love his straightforward, focussed pedagogy where he engages all of us in the small classroom environment we already have.
one of my brothers got posted to my unit. hahahaha. be blessed bro. i heard the new commanding officer is really a nice scholar.
sumex coming up! and yes, i've been actively counting down the days...

I can see Your grace
Gather like the clouds
And it rains on me
Wherever I'm found
Yes I know Your word is faithful
Your promises so true
O Lord my trust is in You
Every single day
I want to see Your face
I hear Your Spirit say
I'm justified by faith
I believe Your blood has cleansed me
I rest in Your embrace
O Lord forever I say
ChorusJesus You're my everything
I have in You all that I need
Jesus You're my everything
You're my shepherd in You I live!

today's message couldn't be better and more timely, as was today's devotional.
i am
no less favoured.
i did not get the smu scholarship. my Daddy has something greater for me as part of His grand plan to prosper me.
thank You Lord for the message coming forth from the pulpit that really spoke to me. thank You Lord for comforting me with Jesus and the Holy Spirit, my two Comforters.
thank You Lord for the blessed time spent with You, in Your Word.
bathe me Lord. cleanse off the dust from me. even the justified get dusty.

pastor li*n was preparing me for the things to come this week when she preached on true submission.
my mum sprang a surprise
raid by returning home. she brought back her bossiness and her fiery character, to say the least.
it's really hard. that's outward submission, inward
disobedience.
Daddy, take over. Your strength is perfect when i am weak. Your grace is sufficient for me. Your wisdom shines in me. Your love for me has been shed abroad in my heart. make it overflow exceedingly all round me!on a separate note, blessed birthday sister nat! really blessed to have such an amazing fellow sister in Christ! we did meet in the weirdest of circumstances - on opposite sides of a one-way-only fire escape door! well i was stuck and she was on the other side opening it for me. heh. thank You Daddy for such heavenly royal friendship!

thank You Lord! You are so faithful!
i didn't get a ticket for today's SCC concert. but in the midst of the storm, my Lord remained faithful. i called forth what i did not see and by faith! i believed i would go.
and truly, God did not disappoint. He is not early, never late.
always on time.
i got a ticket.
praise Jesus! Hallelujah! i feel the love of God lavished in my heart all over me! love me, Father! more! i want a greater revelation of Your love for me! the love that made You exchange Heaven's throne for the Cross...
the daily devotional was so powerful. i have it! therefore i say it! i
claim it in the Name above
all Names, the name of Jesus Christ. for whatever i ask of the Father, i believe and i receive it. and this irrational hope shall not disappoint! Amen.

9:13 PM
in the midst of 2nd service, my dad rang me up. didnt pick up but called back after service.
another death.
my dad found someone hanging from the aircon metal support rack at the backdoor of the office. notified the police. dad was full of fear and shock.
it's time to tune him into the word of God. the unshakeable word of God that will shake everything that is man-made and of the world.
it's time to let the perfect love of God cast out
all his fears.
it's time for his salvation.
Lord, give me the courage to share the gospel with my dad
freely, without inhibition. and let me do so with the spirit of wisdom. come into the foreground, Jesus. let the wisdom of God shine brighter and brighter and overtake me left, right, centre with each passing day. Amen.

a friend passed on 2 days back. motorcycle-lorry accident within the vicinity of camp.
when i first heard about it, my first reaction was to ask God why. i really wanted to share the gospel with him and was already making inroads. wasn't the sharing of the word supposed to bring life and not death?
and then He spoke.
"My son, the devil is trying to put you off what I have empowered you to do. Burst through this 'sound barrier'. I'll bring you to a new level. Indeed, because of this one death,
many more shall be added to my kingdom through you."
that was really so powerful. the life story of david really speaks to me - everytime david met a challenge, any challenge, he would
strengthen himself in the Lord. that's how everyday life should be. do not despair. do not be discouraged. do not be afraid.
for the Lord my God is with me. He will not leave me nor forsake me.on a side note... Lord! i want to go for the SCC concert on 10 may! i want a seat in the main auditorium! although man can fail, You will
never fail me! thank You Lord! i claim a seat in Jesus name! wheee! here i come for the SCC concert!

as i opened my door, i saw a giant cockroach enjoying a good run all over my dad's room's door. i alerted him. he opened the door slightly ajar and suddenly whipped out a tennis-racket-looking thing - in actual fact, a mosquito killing trap. as he applied the electricity to the creeping thing, it sprang to life and looked for salvation in my room. thank God for swiftness of hands! i slammed my door shut but eventually it crept in from the bottom slit of my door. it frantically sought refuge under my wardrobe. no problem. the baygone arrived and was generously released into its hiding place. writhing and all, eventually the monster was overcome.
what really struck me was this. i couldn't help but notice the amounts of baygone sprayed onto the woodwork. it reminded me of the Passover and how the angel of death would move on after seeing the blood on the door posts which signified a Cross. today, the precious blood of Jesus has been sprayed on me! death, where is your sting? Jesus came to give me
life and life more abundantly! so i'm going to keep enjoying everyday in the presence of my Lord!
started today with a fantastic dose of the spoken word of God. pastor spoke about having a hearing heart. God can speak to me anywhere, any place, anytime, thru anyone! as long as i have a hearing heart! this was also a continuation on the series on wisdom. Lord, give me a spirit of wisdom! a discerning spirit! for it is written in Your word that if anyone should lack wisdom (that's me!), let him ask of the Lord, and it shall be given! Lord, You see that it is done for me!
sister bao shared a great testimony yesterday. it's amazing how God never fails to surprise. Daddy, surprise me too!
watched
fun with dick and jane today. rented. it was real funny. blessed time with dearie. thank You Lord for the blessed time!
went out with my dad. let him listen to still waters. he said it was really good and peaceful. soon i'll start playing sermons! haha... as the Spirit leads! thank You Daddy that everyday that passes brings
him closer to salvation! i can't wait to see him gloriously saved!
